It's hard to believe that our sweet Sophie is already a year old! I had big plans to have a birthday cake and little celebration but H1N1 had other plans for our family... It was all I could manage to snap some photos... (We're all well now though~!)

Sophie is still very much a puppy, in that she will chew anything that catches her fancy, has bounless energy and is always seeking new experiences. She's nowhere near the "typical golden" that folks seem to envision when they think of goldens... I'm not sure that it's in her temperment to lay back and enjoy the world around her--she prefers to pounce and leap joyfully into each morning, letting the mud (snow, water, sand, etc...) land where it may...

But, as with all dogs who are loved, she is unwavering in her loyalty, eager to please and knows that she has a valued spot in her pack (aka our family...). She and Josie are still undecided as to who's the boss...
